1. Look for QI certification
Wireless charging currently has two major international mainstream industry standards. One is the QI standard of the Wireless Charging Alliance (WPC), which has 300 members worldwide; one is the AirFuel Alliance, which has 195 members worldwide. These two standards have unified regulations on the performance, technical parameters, compatibility, and safety of wireless charging products, and have strict certification standards.
At present, the QI standard is relatively mature and dominates the mainstream. To purchase a wireless charger, first check whether the product has passed the QI certification mark. In general, QI-certified products are of relatively reliable quality.
2. look for professional brands
At present, domestic wireless charger manufacturers are large and small, as many as 1,000, and there are more than 300 brands. However, most of the brands are non-professional wireless charging brands, but new sub-brands built by some electronics factories, battery factories, 3C parts factories and even trading companies. These brands lack core technology and have weak research and development capabilities. Therefore, choosing a professional wireless charging brand is more reliable.
3. the price can not be too low
The principle of wireless charging technology is very clear, but commercial applications are very difficult. Transmission efficiency, transmission distance, transmission performance, and protection measures are all highly technically difficult. Therefore, it is necessary to invest huge research and development costs, and it is necessary to use components with excellent quality, and the cost is high. For example, the price of a superior chip is more than ten yuan and twenty yuan.
Therefore, the quality of wireless charging products that are too low in price is questionable.
4. the conversion efficiency is higher, the charging speed is faster
There is a problem of conversion efficiency in wireless chargers. The current conversion efficiency of mobile phone wireless chargers is 60%-80%. Under the same conditions, the higher the efficiency, the faster the charging speed.
However, efficiency is not the only factor that determines the speed of charging. Some manufacturers with strong technical strength improve the performance of the chip, optimize the design of the scheme, and adjust the current output to make the speed of wireless charging comparable to or exceed the charging speed of the cable. For example, New Page Technology has developed a wireless charging acceleration technology with standard wired charging speed and 2 times standard wired charging speed.
5. the working temperature can not be too high
Wireless charging uses electromagnetic induction technology, and there are some heating problems during charging. The working temperature of high-quality products is generally below 40 °C, and it is warm and cold to the normal range.
However, the operating temperature of some low-quality and inferior products can rise above 60 °C, and there is no intelligent temperature control component installed. Long-term use will damage the mobile phone, and there are potential safety hazards.
6. the protection function must be complete
A good wireless charger should have intelligent functions such as foreign object detection, temperature protection, overvoltage protection, and overcurrent protection. The foreign object detection function prevents electromagnetic overheating caused by metal objects. Temperature protection automatically shuts off when the temperature is too high. Overvoltage and overcurrent protection can automatically adjust the voltage and current, maintain the stability of charging, and protect the mobile phone. If these features are missing or not working properly, the charging experience will be greatly reduced, and there are even certain security risks.
